"I love you, you idiot. You know I love you?" Taylor’s voice was sharp and sounded sarcastic, even though her words were perfectly sincere. She stood too far away from Drake, staring at him with her hands on her hips, trying to fight the tears that threatened to spill from her eyes.

Drake looked away from her briefly. Staring at her was like staring at the sun. She was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.
Taylor stared at him as he looked away; she was so hurt. Didn’t he love her? Was he really going to ignore this, after all they’d been through? After the car accident, after the invasion, after the death of their baby?

His ice blue eyes flicked back to hers and he stepped forward in an attempt to close the space between them. “Of course I know you love me. I love you too, Taylor. I love you too. I loved you first.”
That did it. Taylor’s breath came out of her all at once and she fell to her knees, sobbing. Drake followed her to the ground and put his hands on her elbows first, looking into her tear stained face.
“Baby, baby, don’t cry,” he said softly as he pulled her forward.
“Don’t call me baby,” Taylor sobbed into his neck. “I miss my baby, Drake. I miss him, I miss him so much. I’ll never even know what he looked like! If he had your smile or my eyes or my dad’s nose! I’ll never know!”
Drake felt sudden heat behind his eyes as he pulled Taylor into his lap so that his legs enveloped her. She was sitting in the empty spot between his legs. Her arms were halfway around him, as if she didn’t have the strength to wrap them all the way around. Her chest spasmed in heart wrenching sobs; she she sounded like she was choking.
“I just want to hold him,” Taylor cried into Drake’s neck. “I just want to hold him.”
Tears spilled down Drake’s cheeks as he held the inconsolable love of his life. “I’m sorry,” he said, his voice sounded high-pitched and broken.
“Why are you sorry?” Taylor said softly through hiccups.
“I don’t know. But I—I miss him too. I was—I wanted this family with you, Taylor. I wanted it. He was our baby. And I—I’m just sorry.”
Taylor pulled her face away from Drake’s neck to look into his eyes. When Drake saw the color of her tears, his face lost all color.
“Drake? What?”
“Your tears—they’re glowing blue.”
Taylor touched her fingers to a stream of tears that were running down her face. When she pulled them away, she saw that they were indeed glowing.
“But we haven’t had—not since I told you I was pregnant. You don’t think I could still be pregnant, do you?” Her voice was filled with so much hope at the end that it was heart breaking to hear.
“I think we should go to the doctor. Right now.”

Taylor really wants to leave, like now.

Look at how scared he is. He is terrified something is wrong with her, that she’s not okay. He wants to know now, what’s wrong? He cares about her so much, more than he’s ever cared about anyone, and that’s why I love this ship so much. Roman loves everyone, and I LOVE Romery, but Drake doesn’t love very many people, and that’s what makes Draylor special.
